Ten o’clock flower

Portulacea grandiflora is the one I have to plant each year. I even have a big glazed pot reserved just  for portulacea .The pot is on a sunny side and portulacea I plant there have to be of different colours. When new flowers bloom it  looks like a bouquet is arising from the glazed pot, each day a new bouquet, as different coloured flowers bloom in various combinations. There is only one rule, portulacea are in full bloom only on sunny days, at about ten o’clock in the morning. Just a perfect time to have a Sunday morning coffee!

p.s.Check the flowers I’ve painted at my site: https://tamarajare.com/

Looking forward to seeing you! Tamara

Photo from Brussels botanical garden

image
I just like this photo of me taking photo of botanical garden, shadows are like laces as a graphic contrast to colourfull picture of reality behind the scene. This duality has sense depiciting botanical garden which is no.more real.botanical garden, but where the old trees remain as a shadow of old times like this picture remains my souvenir from Brussels, asking me what is real and what just a picture……..
